Apologies to my wonderful Italian-American friends, but I’m gonna go on record as saying Columbus Day should be re-designated something like “Indigenous People’s Day.” Not a deal-breaker for me, but c’mon, to say the native population of the Americas got a raw deal is an understatement.
If anything, we could at least go with “Explorers’ Day,” honoring all of those who were first to take a chance on finding something out there, most often at great personal risk to themselves.
Today started late for me — didn’t get on the road until 0600, but did a good 40 miles with Joon and was home by 0930. A nice, easy day.

But that’s not why I say I’m “gonna get lazy.” I’m gonna get lazy by leaving this post at that much, and to show you what’s really crazy — the last 6 field goal attempts of the Packers/Bengals game today (Indigenous People’s Day already in Korea) starting from 2:12 left (don’t know if you can watch it — the NFL wouldn’t let me post the YouTube link here, so I just linked it in the previous sentence). Just crazy.
Of note, keep your eye on McPherson (the Bengals’ kicker) on his last attempt. He turns around to celebrate as the ball is still on its way.
