Here is my latest installment from Shane and Shane’s Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs (Live) album. This one hits particularly hard when one considers one’s own spiritual state. “My heart, my flesh may fail, but you are my portion.”
That’s really all we have to hang onto sometimes. Well…all of the time actually. It’s just that, like most children, there are times we think we can do it all by ourselves. Thankfully, like a loving parent, God lets us enjoy his creation, even if we aren’t paying close attention to the one who by grace sustains every moment of it.
Still, even in the best of times, this song means something to me. It reminds me that he’s there all along…and that I need him all along. And that he really is wonderful beyond anything I can imagine.
Really…
