Osan has an Arboretum
And it’s quite nice. We spent a portion of the afternoon there and enjoyed the time very much. I’m sure that there are different things to see in each season, so we’ll be going back in the fall.
For those coming from the Osan Air Base area, it’s quite easy to get there – you just take the train from Songtan Station three stations north to Osan College Station. Go out exit 2 and straight west two blocks and you’re there. If you’re driving, the address is 경기 오산시 수청동 282.
They have a couple of pretty nice picnic areas too, so feel free to pack a lunch. There’s one near the entrance to the park, and there are some nice picnic tables in a pine forest deeper in.
Even though it was mid-season, there were still plenty of flowers to see. We plan on going back in the fall to see a new batch of color I’m sure.
Parking is 3,000KRW and admission is 1,500 for adults, 1,000 for youth, and 700 for children.
