This year’s BCFB stats aren’t quite matching up to last year’s, but we’ll get by. While last year by this time I’d done 38 early-morning rides, this morning’s was only this year’s 29th. I ended up doing 42 of these rides last year, the last one being on the 8th of October, so I know there are a few more left out there. But this morning started out at 54 degrees (around 12 Celsius (see yesterday), while my last ride last year in October it was 65. I don’t quite know what that means though.
But it isn’t the temperature that matters so much. I can always bundle up a bit. No, it’s the sunrises. They come later each time. This morning I was already home eating breakfast when it rose at 0618. I’m not doing the entire ride in the dark, but most of it, yes. It’s the line between spooky and beautiful, I guess. I’ve had a couple of dogs getting sneaky on me this year, where I’ve only known they were coming by hearing the click of their nails on pavement. And believe me — when you’re on some of these rice-paddy farm roads, it’s dark all around but for the light in front of you on the pavement.
Still, the morning skies of Korea are beautiful this time of year, and I can’t help but get out there (although I spent a few more seconds on the edge of the bed this morning, pondering). I did collect a bit of evidence for that beauty this morning for you. It was nice.

Is this where I mention the dynamo hub?
