Saturday 70: A Perfect Day

Three weeks ago, I was about ready to give up on riding a bicycle anymore. It was that bad. And yet, within a few days, I was back to planning shorter Saturday rides (that one was 76). Did 50 the next week, and 63 the week after that.

And that leads us to today…which turned out to be “A Perfect Day.” Started at 5AM, temps under 70, and I don’t think they got to 80 by the time we finished at about 1120. And if I could’ve had a quarter for every time I commented to Joon on how absolutely gorgeous the day was, I’d have about $3.75 right now. I can’t think of a single thing that went even close to wrong. The sky was clear and blue. There was a light breeze in the face for the first half, which of course meant a good wind at our backs for the way home.

On top of that, Joon lent me a saddle that worked quite well…so he gave it to me, and I’m getting to thinking that I’ve got to replace the leather pretty soon, but it’s well worth it.

Yup. Today was “A Perfect Day.”

Through the bamboo.
Anyang River Trail. There was quite a bit of flood damage in some areas, but still, passable.
Why rides in Korea are so easy. Donut and coffee — a good pick-me-up about 35 miles into the ride.
Are you coming?
I don’t think they know what it means…
Making friends.
The sky was gorgeous — like a postcard.
Can’t pass this place without getting a picture.
I’ve gotten plenty of pics here over the years, but not with this sky and this lighting.
Almost home. Skies are still beautiful.
