Time has been flying for me these past few days. I don’t know why – there doesn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary going on. I’ve been busy before at work, but this past week’s business seems to have made the days go more quickly.
Maybe I’m regaining my equilibrium. After muddling about for quite some time, I might be coming out of it. Rediscovering some purpose. Life’s getting back to normal again. Spring is on the way. Rides can start getting longer and less encumbered by layers of clothing.
Today (Saturday) was another quick day, even without going to work. It started last night actually. I was up until after one reading The Boys (the Ron and Clint Howard memoir), and ended up sleeping in – getting up around six.
Then after breakfast and coffee, I actually got my wife out of the house by ten to look at (and eventually end up buying) furniture. Along the way, we picked up a friend of hers, browsed for hours, had a good lunch, spent our money, and got home for an early dinner and movies on the sofa.
Another day down, and I’m sure a good night’s sleep on the way. Perhaps a ride tomorrow after church, weather permitting. I hope for a longer day, but we’ll see.
