I’ve written recently about my fascination with dubstep. I’m still looking, and occasionally I’ll find something that catches my ear. Tonight I’m listening to the Seven Lions dubstep remix of “You Gotta Go” by Above & Beyond. It’s just one of those songs that flows well. Kind of leaves me peaceful and dreaming. Not for everyone — there are some electronic sounds that some might find odd. But I really like the stuff. It can be soft, precise, and powerful, all at once. And with enough complexity to keep my attention.
Of course you have to listen with a good set of headphones at a decent volume. I can’t think of any better way to do it for the full effect.
I’ll keep looking, and maybe someday have enough to build a decent playlist.
