Grandson was in town again. He takes enough energy (in a very good way) that I just don’t feel up to writing. I still have thoughts, but they’re more or less mundane and repetitive. There are a couple that should require more work — like my decision about voting this year. But things like my regular weekend ride are missing because I had the unhappy task of taking the little guy to the airport.
Sure is quiet around here.
Working on my contract paperwork now. That’s a regular thing that I need to do so I can stay here. Regular, but never easy. It’s the price I pay for doing a job I love, though. Not a bad thing — just a lot of scrambling and adjusting. Might be a good time to get out and get that ride in after all.
Haven’t had much new in the world of music lately…except listening through Genesis’s 1974 masterpiece The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Peter Gabriel Genesis. Pre-Phil-Collins-sellout Genesis. So it was as good as I remembered it being. Unfortunately, I can’t give you any of the music for it here, mainly because it’s a set piece and none of the songs make any sense on their own. I’m just saying if you enjoy anything from the ’70s, you might want to listen to the whole thing. Maybe it takes a little growing on you…
