I don’t remember Daredevil being this good…

I’m not a comic book fan beyond the few memories I might have from my youth when Spiderman was my favorite. Can’t tell you any real backstory beyond the basic foundations of a few characters. Batman’s parents were murdered, Bruce Banner was messing around with gamma radiation, and of course, Peter Parker got bit by a radioactive spider. So sure, I had a few comic books over the years, but nothing you could sell for millions at an auction today.

I certainly didn’t read a lot of Daredevil. Still, when the series showed up on Netflix a few years back, I watched the first two seasons. Not bad, but not really enough to make me keep going either.

Still, it caught my eye about a month ago, and since it was far enough back that I’d forgotten a lot of what I’d seen, I decided to give it another try from season one, episode one. It actually worked pretty well to pass the time when I was tuckered out from my other activities. I remembered bits and pieces, but not enough to ruin it for me. And besides, if I like something enough, I can watch it again every so often (see anything I’ve said about The Expanse and Justified for example).

But then I got to season three, and by the end of it all, I was literally on the edge of my seat. It’s probably just me, but they built the anticipation and angst to perfect levels, making it one of the top series for excitement that I’ve ever seen (I’d put it at third behind the two I mentioned at the end of the previous paragraph). If you have the time (and Disney+), I recommend it.
