Today is one of the few days that a Korean holiday matches an American one. It’s Hangul-nal in Korea, where they celebrate the wonder of their written language. And of course, it’s Columbus Day in the US. I prefer “Indigenous Persons Day,” or something similar, but will wait until they officially declare it to be so before I put up the decorations.
Saturday was a rough day in some respects. Sure, I went to Magic Valley, but I paid for it on the return with plenty of elevation, three tunnels, and a body more sore than I’d experienced in a long time. Still, I knew the cure would be more riding, so I decided to hit the road early this morning to get in 40 miles before it got too late.
