Finally, a day that didn’t suck the life out of us. The heat was manageable all the way to the end of our ride, a ride which went over two hefty climbs. But I need the work, that’s for sure.
Our group of four did end up up with only three after about twenty miles. Joon’s front tire “delaminated” — which is the short way of saying the interior laminate layer separated in a couple of spots and exposed the fibers, leaving the tire bulging and warped in those spots.

He fixed it with a tube, but the tire couldn’t be trusted, especially on the downhills where we would be hitting speeds over 30 mph quite easily (my top speed on the ride was 37.5); so Joon turned around and headed for home. He still got over 40 miles in himself. Just not the cool ones we did.
And they were pretty nice. A few out of the way detours, and a couple of decent hills. Not a bad ride today by a long shot…except for Joon’s ride.

I can’t get Relive to work, so no video today. Just gonna take a nap now…
It looks like you’re riding without hands in the picture from behind you. That’s awesome balance! Such great views – thank your for sharing the pictures this week from your rides. 🤗
You know very well how beautiful Korea can be. I’m impressed with it every time I go out!
