Saturday 67: Jisan Forest

I’d like to think it’s the heat that has me so sore right now. Sure, I’m not much of a climber, and I did over 3,000 feet today, but I tell you, by the time I finished up today’s ride, I was beat. I’ve always hated riding in the midday heat, and it’s only getting worse. That’s why I do funny things like leave at 5 in the morning. I’m thinking for the rest of the summer, 4 will have to do.

I love the early mornings here. Just so beautiful and quiet. And the birds have a way of going crazy with their songs and chirps early in the day. The sky is good. The lighting is fantastic. Nothing to dislike about that time of day. The end of the ride though? Completely different.

But I lived.

Joon out of town, Roy sleeping off other business last night. Just Albert and me. He’s so much fun to ride with. Had a great day all around…

Sun coming up…
Good morning, little Yongin Dragon…
Getting started at the “fishing hole”
Big fields. Not some mom-and-pop farmer here…
Passed a couple of stories today.
Attacked by a dinosaur.
the slopes of Jisan Forest Ski Resort
Jack and I used to ski/snowboard here on Saturday mornings before the crowds showed up.
Fun wall art on a billiard hall.
Green and off the beaten path.
Another cafe?
Completely destroyed. If you look closely you can see the diggers and dump trucks, especially on the ridge.
Like I said, Albert can be a lot of fun…
