I ride with a great group of people. We all actually enjoy our rides. It’s not about staring at the back of the guy in front of you as you plow along at top speed. It’s almost like we only get in line by accident. We’re usually all over the place, side-by-side, chatting. Spread out on hills. Stopping when we want for pictures and food. When it comes to riding, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Sometimes though, I get a day on my own. And when I do, that day is usually phenomenal.
Today was that day — especially good because I’d changed my plans within the first two miles. This means wandering around in a general direction, but usually taking the odd detour when it presents itself. This made for over 6 new miles, Plus I stayed closer to home — which actually meant seeing things I hadn’t seen for a long time.
All in all, a great ride.
