Just a short foray into the minefield.
A piece by an alternative media site came to my attention today. I like to read through things like this occasionally to see what I can see, and this guy seemed reasonable, so I gave it a look. As a disclaimer: I can’t speak for anything else the guy may have written or any of his positions. I’ve only read just this article, and I can only speak to the data he presents.
And he does a fair job presenting it. I’ve believed for a while now that COVID vaccines aren’t causing anything about which we should be alarmed, really. I’m quite skeptical of all the talk about heart attacks and sudden deaths among otherwise young and healthy people. I understand that they happen — they always have — and that, with a little work, in a population numbering in the hundreds of millions (the US), you will always be able to find “evidence” of something. But, much like how the internet wants you to react to everything else, the reality seems different. It’s far more reasonable and far less chaotic.
I’ve long suspected the suspicious for one major reason: as much as I bust on members of the Air Force for being out of shape, I think we can all admit that a cross-section of the force is probably healthier and in better shape than the population at large. And just about every person in the Air Force has been vaccinated. Even in our smaller subset population here on Osan, we’re talking over 5,000 people who were vaccinated even earlier than most others. And it’s a small enough community and I know enough people who know enough people that if we had “healthy” people (the Air Force population) dropping dead, I’d know about it. But no. Not one. No memorial services. No sudden illnesses and deaths. And I’d venture to say that’s the case pretty much across the board. Nothing out of the ordinary.
So I’m fairly convinced that, so far, there is no real correlation between the vaccine and sudden death by heart attack.

On top of that, this writer shows the data and posits the conclusion that any changes in death by heart attack since COVID hit are more likely being caused by COVID itself. He lays it out fairly well, and helps immensely by drawing in data from outside of the US.
Of one thing we must be sure — things of this nature should cause us first to think, then to do our due diligence in collecting the data or at least reading (and trusting) those that do (from various sources — not just your “favorites”). I’ve seen far too much foolishness out of people. Maybe we can chalk it up to the recent political climate. But we’ve got to leave that all behind. It’s time to actually be smart about this.
Vaxxing Deaths or Covid Deaths?, by Ron Unz – The Unz Review
It’s wild to look at how COVID has or has not impacted the Air Force community. Even though we are “out of shape”, we still have a fitness standard to maintain. With it being pretty clear that fitness directly correlates to our ability to survive the Rona, I’m surprised there isn’t a government-led health push in the US to raise awareness about the connection. Maybe “surprised” isn’t the right word…disappointed may be a better choice.
