Saturday 64: Heartbreaker…

I’ve probably mentioned before — there are a few hills around here that we call “Heartbreakers.” The only criteria is that, on the first time up, you come around a corner thinking you’ll see the top only to find a steeper climb with another corner ahead. The term is derived from the time I was waiting for Joon at the top of a climb, and as he came around the last corner to see an even steeper hill, I heard him mutter, “This is heartbreaking.”

Well, we visited that climb again today, and of course he knew what to expect this time. But that doesn’t stop us from calling it “Heartbreaker.” Because it still does the job. But, as sore as I am right now, I’d do it again. Not any time soon, but someday.

The views on the climb are quite excellent. Of course, pictures do them no justice.
Still, it took a lot out of me. But I did see some pretty clouds.
Found a different trail.
Anseong has its share of history.
Farm girl.
Even with all of the rain this summer, to include a good thunderstorm last night, Yidong Reservoir is down, but only because they’re managing the water levels. We’re expecting a bit more rain from some typhoons soon enough.
A little breakfast. Coffee and a pastry today. Had to improvise with the bandana to keep the sweat out of my eyes — heat and humidity today was actually quite brutal.
Rode on a new skin for my seat (Selle Anatomica). Did the job.

I like the “Farm girl” photo best. The schematic in the upper corner of Relive is funny — so flat except for that one big blip in the middle
