Joon had to handle a few things late into the night last night, so I was on my own this morning. While we’d agree to go easy until the weather cooled down after last week’s ride, by the end of the week we had convinced ourselves that last week’s ride was an anomaly, and that maybe we could get in at least a good 100k.
So I put together a route, and this one where the hills were front-loaded and the back half was easy, and I set out this morning…and completely ignored it. I ended up going any way I felt like going, maybe even getting turned around once or twice, but never in danger of being completely lost. Even had a friend have a witch doctor put a curse on us that would make us poop our pants on a ride.
With nothing in particular in mind, I headed toward the Ch’illbo-san lap, but ended up taking a sharp right before I got to the mountain. I wandered around Suwon (still one of my favorite cities) for a while after that, where I did a lap of the World Cup Stadium (where I saw the US beat Portugal 20 years ago June). Then I headed home through Dongtan and Dongtan 2. Nothing too adventurous. Nothing much to see. Didn’t poop my pants…
