Quite the day for a random. Started with the graduation of our two language classes. Those are usually a lot of fun, and the people enjoy each other so much . It doesn’t hurt that the teachers are some of the best I’ve known.
So when we went out for lunch after the class, I had such a good time with them. They’re certainly part of the reason my job is so interesting. We went to a favorite restaurant of mine for fish stew and seafood fried flat cake (I don’t know what else to call it.). We laughed a lot and enjoyed the food, then went for coffee afterwards and laughed some more.

I had to leave because I had another date — to a movie! Micha and I went to see Dr.Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was entertaining. Just fun to get back into the theater and enjoy ourselves. I’d give it decent marks though. It’s another Marvel movie, so pretty much par for the course, but their par is always pretty good. With the military discount, it only cost us 28,000 (about $22) total, and that included the large caramel popcorn and two sodas. The popcorn was disappointing though. I used to love Lotte Cinema’s caramel popcorn, but I guess they changed the recipe because it was much too sweet.
And speaking of recipes, I don’t know why Irish Soda Bread isn’t the standard. I suppose it is though…In Ireland at least.
I started the first time with a basic recipe and thought it was pretty good, and especially easy. So the next time around, I included butter, cranberries, and walnuts. Not bad, so I repeated it, and it was even better. But I’ve seen other variations, so I’m thinking, “why not?” So today, it’s mozzarella, parmesan, onion, and garlic (although I went light on the last two). It’s still in the oven, but I’m looking forward to it. I should let it rest, but, you know how it is. I’ll let it cool for an hour, but I expect a quarter of it will be gone soon enough.

And of course, no random complete without the pup.
