After a couple of tough Saturdays with plenty of elevation, I put together a shorter, flatter (nearly 3,000 feet flatter) ride. Thing is, I got my mind set on the route without my usual consideration for the wind. Not that it would have mattered much today. It seemed the wind was coming out of every direction, especially on the back stretch.
A friend of mine long ago introduced me to the concept of “Florida hills.” That is, flat land, but as hard as hills because of the wind. Had a lot of that today and, surprisingly, feel more stiff than I did over the past two weeks. It was a bit of an overcast day today, so the muscles just didn’t really warm up. Maybe that was it.
Anyway, we did he Sapgyoho seawall run, but turned north for a bit on the other side. It’s pretty country over there, and I have plans to drive to it one day so I can start off right there instead of taking the 27 miles or so just to get there.
About 68 miles with just over 1,100 feet of climbing. A good day, even if it did hurt.

The photos from this ride were especially nice
