Saturday 70: Ouch.

I try not to whine too much, but hokey smokes I’m sore after today’s ride. It was one of those which, by the end, produced a burn in the legs even at the slightest hint of an exertion. And it was shorter than last week’s ride by about 4 miles (72 today, 76 last week). Then again, I climbed about 1,400 feet more today, and over half of that climbing was in the last half of the ride.

Still, I feel good. Sore. Tired. But good. As in, a typical feeling after a ride.

And it was a good route. Saw about 15 miles I hadn’t seen before, and enjoyed them. Lots of farmland, but different farmland. It had a bit different feel to it for some reason.

All-in-all, a good day.

Cockpit ready at 0500.
Sun is well up by the time we got to Gosam Reservoir.
Like I said — the farmland is different here.
And cows. Outside.
Setting up the rice seedlings.
Just about halfway, in the city of Sam Seong.
A lake along the way
Leaving Ch’ungch’eon Bukdo.
In Anseong.
Time to get serious. One last cup of coffee to get me over these last two hills.
Almost home.
