While it’s more than likely only a special early appearance, the first BCFB of the year is in the books before the end of March. By comparison, the last two years’ firsts were 7 and 11 May respectively.
As usual, I woke up early this morning — somewhere in the vicinity of 2:30. While listening to a podcast, I checked the weather and discovered that the temperature at 4 was supposed to be 47 degrees Fahrenheit. So I told myself that if I woke up on time, I’d go (I still haven’t set an alarm for over a month).
I woke up again at 3:55, so I was able to hit the road at about 4:32 for a bit over 17 miles. Excellent morning for it, although still far too early to get the good morning sky shots (sunrise was at 6:21 today).
Tomorrow is supposed to be as warm as today…but not in the early morning. It’ll be 10 degrees cooler at 4 AM — 37 degrees. I don’t expect another morning like today’s for a while, but now I know that high 40s are plenty bearable, and as such, I can probably get in the next one earlier this year than last.

I’m sorry about your coffee cup. I know the feeling although my cups were smashed not just cracked. (A 50th anniversary Sturgis mug and a Denmark flag mug. 2 favorites) What’s the yellow thing in the road on your wavy bridge photo?
the yellow thing is a box in which they put road “salt” or sand
