I used to think wine was pretentious. People who drank it could never really think that it was actually any good. In reality, it’s awful, but people drink it and say they like it, but only because they think it makes them look like the hoi-poloi.
Like I said — pretentious.
But a few weeks ago, I had a bottle of the cheap stuff with the wife while watching a movie. And we kind of liked it. So we tried some more. And we liked it again.
So it turn out, we really kind of like wine.
We’re working our way through the Cabernet Sauvignon’s now to find what we like. Tonight I picked up a bottle of Robert Mondavi’s Woodbridge Bourbon Barrel Aged and I think we found our favorite. Very smooth. Good flavor. Of course I expect it’ll be out of stock any time now…
Sounds like you actually like CHEAP wine lol … maybe wine really is pretentious, unless it’s cheap.
yeah, i’d change my tune if wine was actually expensive.
I like this wine too but I can’t afford the expensive stuff anyway 😂
