I love Steely Dan. Not all of it — kind of like Supertramp I guess. They’ve got a couple of albums that show something that isn’t quite there, but then they nail it for a few albums, and that’ll do.
Of course, their best of all time is probably Aja. The title track is my favorite Steely Dan song, but there are others on the album that are quite excellent also. The song, “Peg” is one of them. It’s got this incredible jazzy vibe that I really like, and when I found this short piece about how it was made, it made the song even better for me. I hope you can listen and get a little something out of it too…
