Well, I can almost admit it — Aaron Rodgers is a pretty good football player. Still a head case, but yeah, maybe I was a little hasty wanting the Packers to dump him a few weeks back. And that’s saying something, because I’ve been calling for the Packers to dump him for quite a while now. But I’ll give him another year. And then it’ll be time for Jordan Love to take over and win for the next decade or so.
But today, more than just a Green Bay victory happened that helped them out a bit. First off, I have to wonder who kidnapped the Detroit Lions and replaced them with a good football team? I mean, c’mon — beating the Arizona Cardinals? Am I in some kind of parallel universe or something?
And then one of the better things that can happen happened when the Saints beat the Buccaneers. I was happy for Tom Brady winning it all last year again — had to admit he was pretty good. But the honeymoon’s over and I’m back to wanting him to lose every game and just give up.
So there you have it. All the Packers have to do is win out and they get a week off before having to face whomever they have to face…in Green Bay…in January…with A. J. Dillon at running back.
Yeah, things are lining up nicely for now…
