I’m always looking for good restaurants, and I know my fair share in the area. I’ve sung the praises of Queenstown up in Dongtan, and we ate there just last night. Had the Mushroom Truffle Risotto and a Chipotle Chicken Pizza. Queenstown’s food never lets me down.

Some time ago, a friend told me about Duoz — a small country restaurant about 45 minutes away. So, for a second night in a row, we were out taking care of some business, and again decided to hit our nearest favorite restaurant.
While I usually go for the Kimchi Jigae, Micha wanted something different. So we had the spicy duck. It was quite good (although I prefer the pork version). We also had the Bindaeduk.
Unfortunately, I know I’m going to pay for it now with a bad night’s sleep, but it sure seemed worth it while I was eating…

And to make my daughter happy, here’s the address: 경기 화성시 장안면 한천1길 32-7. Well worth the trip. I recommend the Kimchi Jigae, made with fresh (not pre-cooked) pork and quite delicious. Great with their 동동주 if you’re not driving.
Is this that old place we went to! With the dirt floors but thankfully somewhat modern bathrooms?
Yeah, probably. Can’t remember if we took you, but it sounds about right.
Yeah this is the one with the cat outside!
you just described every country restaurant in korea.
