Another Double-Header Weekend

After doing a short 33-mile ride by myself yesterday, i hopped on the bike again today at 5AM with Joon to do a touch over 70. And of course it’s autumn (although still a little warm), so both rides were beautiful.

We were supposed to do the long ride yesterday — our typical Saturday-70 — but it started out a bit damp from some pre-dawn rains. I ended up waiting until 8, and getting out for a few hours.

It’s that beautiful time of year — Korea’s amber waves of grain…rice

Today’s ride started at 5. A beautiful, chilly morning, but we knew it would warm up nearer the end fo the ride. Had a bit of a breeze in the face most of the way south to Ch’eonan, but it stayed that way for our return so it evened out. A couple of good climbs with some great views to reward us.

Joon always gets pictures of me getting pictures. Had to get the angle…
Just after our first climb, it was stunning. Pictures don’t do it any justice at all.
