Been a day to take it easy. Chased around a bit this morning. Late brunch at Queenstown.
Tried watching the Brewers earlier, but that turned out to be pointless. They have these clunkers every so often. Not as bad as the 15-4 drubbing they took a couple of days ago, but still, not looking good. The best I can do for them when they look like they can’t buy a hit and the game is just about decided is turn it off. With my history, I know that gives them a fighting chance. It’s happened before, but c’mon — down 5-1 in the bottom of the 9th?
Still, it was worth a shot. And while I’d hate to say I’ll have to do it more often when things look hopeless (especially because this year, they seldom have), sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Especially if it’s gonna give you the kind of quality you got today.
And against the Cardinals, to boot.
