When I woke up this morning, I was not yet aware that I hadn’t posted something on this blog yesterday (for the first time since June 29th of last year), but I figured it out on my ride. And the thing is, I actually had something I wanted to say:
I don’t normally take pictures of my food unless I think there’s something worthwhile about it. That’s actually more often over here in Korea if you ask me, because they have so much interesting food. But yesterday, as I was out at one of our favorite restaurants…out in the middle of nowhere really…I was eating some Doenjang Jjigae, I felt a great deal of satisfaction and happiness. Who’d have thought you could get something like that out of a bowl of stew?
So I decided to memorialize the moment by taking a picture, and I don’t regret it in the slightest. My only regret is that I didn’t remember that I did it so I could share that, along with some thoughts on happiness, on this blog.

The thoughts on happiness are gone now, but I’ll get around to it again the next time it hits me. For now, we’ll just call it “Day 1” of the next streak and move on…
