Getting to be a Habit

My new motto: “Saturdays are for 70.”

I’m repeating myself when I say “it was a good day for a ride,” but hey, it was a good day for a ride. Except maybe the air quality was a bit suspect. But I got to do some of the things I’ve wanted to do for a while now. I got to cross the mountains and drop into the Jincheon valley. I got to ride the stream along that route that I’ve always wanted to follow. I got to come back over at Yi-wol. Did a bit of climbing throughout. Enjoyed myself thoroughly, even when I thought my legs were getting a little tired (that was only a temporary condition — I hit a couple of climbs closer to home and was feeling fine by the time I’d finished them).

And of course, when it looked like I was going to come up a little short of 70 miles, I took a minor detour and tacked on a couple of miles.

So sure, Saturdays are for 70. And why not?

Yes, the air quality showed, although some of this is morning fog.
And this is why I always wanted to ride by that stream. This valley is gorgeous.
More. And a Great Blue Heron on the dam.
Beautiful.
A river crossing for me.
Almost home.
