I don’t remember where I first stumbled upon Antione Dufour, but I did, and that’s all that matters. I’ve learned since then that there are a few good players in the same style, but he was the first one to show me what you can do when you use all of the guitar to make your music.
While his song “Mother” is probably my favorite, I came across this video which gives you a bit of insight into what he’s doing and thinking when he creates and performs a piece. The song itself, “These Moments” is another of my favorites. I really recommend you give a lot of his stuff a listen. You may even enjoy it enough to buy some of his music like I did. And if you just wander away through YouTube, you’ll probably find a few other good ones that you can listen to too.
