Doing just fine…

So I did the green smoothie detox, and since then I’ve been on a modified diet. During the weekdays, it’s smoothies for breakfast and lunch (not the detox kind — more robust and as much variety as I’m willing to try) with light snacks throughout the day; plenty of water; and then a sensible dinner — usually chicken or fish — with broccoli or brussel sprouts.

And while the detox dropped 11 pounds in 10 days, I’ve lost 4 more pounds since then. And while I have a goal as far as losing the weight, it’s more about feeling good.

And that’s working out really well for me. I’m actually feeling better than I have in a long time.

But I’ve got to keep up the exercise too, and today was a dreary, chilly, rainy day. So this morning I decided to put together the bike I’ve got on my indoor trainer and get that rolling again. I threw the speed sensor on the back hub and it worked out well, so today’s ride was an hour on the trainer while watching videos on Netflix.

Like I said — doing just fine…

If you guys get a spin bike, I can create a profile for you on my Peloton account and you can do spin classes using your iPad as the screen! They also have “scenic” rides where you can change the resistance however you’d like (I guess, I haven’t tried that yet)
