Quite the day…

Yeah, maybe I’m cheating. I wrote for quite some time early this morning, but left it unfinished and with quite a bit of polish work left in order to grab a bike ride that would hopefully be dry.

Not the case.

You can’t tell that it’s raining here, and you also can’t tell that we’re coming down an extremely tough hill (photo by Chris)
You can see very faintly at the upper right of the light space the electric tower from which we descended. Most everything is obscured by the rain we had passed through and were trying to wait out (photo by Joon).
Quite soaked by now, but heading home…

But we saw some beautiful and interesting things, and covered a lot of tough ground — including at least one uphill that reached 20% and a downhill that wasn’t much less if at all…right when it decided to start pouring rain. Only one crash among us three (not me, and not bad).

A “Five-Tiered Pagoda”

Did a bit over 55 miles and I hurt in a lot of places, but of course it was as satisfying as usual.
