A problem with which I’ve had to deal a couple of times in my lifetime is knowing that as soon as I turn off the ball game with one out in the top of the 9th and the Brewers solidly losing 5-1, they’ll score 4 runs to tie it up and win it in the 11th.
So what can I do? It’s hard knowing that I will never get to see those exciting comebacks again because in order for them to happen, I’ve got to give up on the team’s chances of winning. But maybe the satisfaction of knowing that I’ve made so many of the other fans happy, even if they don’t know it was my actions that won it for the team, can assuage the disappointment of never getting to see those exciting wins again.
I don’t know. Maybe I’ll give it one more shot before I lock in on this method…
